Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors is made up of dedicated members who volunteer their time and expertise to help run the club. They are responsible for overseeing the management and operation of the club.

President
Felix Hamilton
Felix started paddling in 2019 and fast developed a love for the sport. She is a dedicated and passionate member of the club, as one of our dependable strokes, former recruitment director, and current club president. Over the past five years, Felix has gone on to represent in the NSW state team and Sydney metro in Region v Region, and also currently serves as a director on the DBNSW board.

Performance Director
George Louie
George is one of the early DSA member and has been with the club since its formation back in the 80s. Over the past 40 years, his unwavering dedication to the club as both a paddler and as the head coach for the last two decades, has brought countless medals in state, national and international competitions, He is also a respected DBNSW life member and coached the State and Auroras team in numerous campaigns.

Recruitment Director
Leslie Tse
Leslie started paddling in 2021 and has become a much-loved member of the club. Already a Speedy Gonzales on land, his hard work on the water was recognised with the "Most Improved Male Paddler" award for the 2022/23 season. Starting out as one of the Come & Try helpers, Leslie was inspired by how much hard work goes on behind the scenes and decided to join the board to make a difference.

Finance Director
Sam Ennals
Sam started paddling in 2022 and has taken to dragon boating like duck to water. Proving himself to be a natural, or in his words, "surprisingly not terrible at paddling", Sam was awarded the "Male Rookie of the Year" for the 2022/23 season. With a drive and dedication like none other, Sam hopes to help get DSA onto the podium this season.

Admin Director
Sabrina Barutha
Sabrina first started paddling in 2011 at age of 12 and is now one of our most experienced paddlers, a trusted club sweep, and the queen of warm-ups. She has since represented in the NSW state team, and was selected as the female captain of the Australian Auroras 24U team at the 16th IDBF International Dragon Boat Racing Championships.

Marketing Director
louise Kwok
Louise started paddling in 2022 and with a love of fitness and the outdoors, soon developed an addiction to dragon boat racing. Since being awarded the "Female Rookie of the Year" in the 2021/22 season, Louise hopes to inspire other women to give the sport a go, and challenge themselves both physically and mentally.

Operations Director
Alfons Maurer
Alfons first started paddling in 2018 and has since earned himself a reputation as a real workhorse in the boat. As the club's resident schnitzel king, chief hug-giver, and with a helping hand always at the ready, it will come as no surprise to anyone that the 'Fonz' has been voted the club's "Friendliest Paddler" multiple years in a row.
