Meet our Paddlers: Member Profiles
Shortly we will have a section in the gallery for you to get to know our paddlers. including a "60 secs with..." section, this will allow you to see briefly into the minds of a paddler!!! (scary stuff - I know).

Hawkesbury Canoe Classic
2005: DSA first attempt saw 2 former girls, Tanya White & Lysa Peters from our club tackle the Hawkesbury. Along with their support team - headed up by none other than Sharon Lockett, it made for one memorable journey. Click here for the full details and selected pics.

2006: This year saw the first attempt of an OC6 crew from DSA. Not since the late 80's when a Dragon boat crew, with our very own George Louie attempt the Classic. This time round there was only 6 of us paddling, and with an army or supporters, we managed to complete the trek in 13 hours, 46 minutes & 47 seconds. Click here for the story and pics. Whew, what a journey.

2007:
Will DSA be back in 2007 in one or two OC6 canoes? Check back soon to find out.

Outrigger Canoe: Cross training
DSA now has two OC6 canoes to cross train in. What better way to enhance base aerobics and enjoy our magnificent Harbour?
With the speed that you can generate in a Dragon boat, an OC6 can match that pace, with the right technique and power, we will soon have you slipping in behind a jetcat or Ferry and riding their wash to the shore. What a buzz that is!
With the 2nd OC6 now part of the expanding fleet, DSA will be looking to extend the journey to beyond the harbour and see what we can do out and about on the high seas.

Check here to see our Outrigger training times.
