13th December 2015
By German Carvajal
DSA competed at DBNSW’s Race 4 held in the beautiful landscape of Penrith’s Regatta Centre on December 13th. Our teams participated in 500 metre races with some very good results in the morning session – second place in race 4 and the first in race 17. We reached the final and with a great team effort came in 6th place.
In the second round we did not qualify to reach the final but it was a very good effort to compete with strong teams. Very well done to the new team members which included Susan and myself for their first competition and a big congratulations to Jim who has now graduated to become a Level 3 sweep.
Definitely a great day was had by all. Thanks for the support of family members who helped strengthen the team’s morale. We look forward to the races that await us in the new year.
Our coach, George, reiterated that commitment to your team and training is what will produce results on the day.
