Dragon Sports Association (DSA) is a professional dragon boat racing club in Rhodes, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1983, the club predominantly catered to the Chinese community. However, with the growth in popularity of the sport, DSA has flourished attracting a culturally diverse and strong membership base.
In 2018, DSA not only celebrated its 35 th Anniversary, but was also awarded ‘Club of the Year’! This recognition highlighted our clubs support to the local community and of our support to the paddling community.
Our club caters to both new and experienced members, young and old and from all cultural backgrounds. We train out of our Uhrs Pt Reserve site in Rhodes, and have five dragon boats and four single person outrigger canoes at Rhodes available for training; and two six-person outrigger canoes in Drummoyne.
Many of our paddlers have been selected for state and national representative teams. We also provide the opportunity to train and gain accreditation as a sweep. Our members also provide training to corporate teams that wish to partake in the sport as a team building activity.
